The Ministry of Unification Fellowship National Research Institute Visiting Workshop
Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU) was selected as an outstanding research institute based on the 2023 research institute evaluation results and participated in the awards ceremony hosted by the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities, and Social Sciences. KINU was recognized as one of the two institutions with the highest improvement in rankings compared to the previous year and was selected in the innovation category. The ceremony took place on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at the Grand Auditorium of the Sejong National Research Complex, where awards were also presented to researchers with outstanding practical achievements. Director Lee Sang Sin of the Center for the Study of Liberal Democracy received an award for the “Strategy for Normalizing Inter-Korean Relations Based on Principles and Common Sense,” while Senior Research Fellow Hong Min was recognized for his work on “Analysis of North Korea’s Internal and External Strategies and Development of South Korea’s Response Strategies.”
